Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data TechCore collects when you use the Service, why we collect it, who we share it with and what choices you have. It should be read with our Terms and Conditions.
1. Who we are
TechCore (“TechCore”, “we”, “us”) operates the TechCore rendering studio. For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, TechCore is the data fiduciary for the personal data described here.
2. What we collect
Account information
Your username, email address (if given) and password. We never store your password itself, only a one-way encrypted hash of it. We also keep when the account was created, when you last signed in, and your usage-limit counters.
Account requests
If you use “Request an account”, we receive the name, email, company, phone, country and message you enter, together with your IP address and browser. We use them only to reply to you and set up your account.
Sign-in and activity records
When you sign in, sign out, create a share link, start a batch render or reach a usage limit, we record:
- the action and the time it happened;
- your IP address;
- your approximate location (country, region, city and time zone), worked out from your IP address. We do not use GPS or ask for your precise location;
- your browser, operating system and device type, taken from your browser’s user-agent.
Security events
If the studio detects developer tools, automation or an emulated device, we record the event with the details above and the reason. Our administrators may be alerted by email. This can lead to your account being suspended, as explained in the Terms.
Shared scenes
When you create a share link, the scene is uploaded as a 3D file together with its name, size and the number of times it has been viewed. Anyone with the link can view it.
Files sent for processing
Some exports send data to our servers to be processed. For example, video frames are sent to be encoded into MP4, and files may be sent to be packed into a .zip. These are processed to produce your download.
3. What stays on your device
Most of the work happens inside your browser. Rendering, materials, measurements, weight and carat estimates and PDF sheets all run on your own computer.
4. How we use your data
- to create and manage your account and let you sign in;
- to provide the Service’s features, including share links, video encoding and usage limits;
- to keep the Service secure, including enforcing one active session per account, detecting misuse and investigating suspicious activity;
- to provide support when you ask;
- to understand how the Service is used, in aggregate, and improve it;
- to meet our legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Consent
By signing in and using the Service, you consent to the processing described in this policy. Some processing, such as security logging and keeping records required by law, is also necessary to provide the Service lawfully. You can withdraw your consent at any time by asking us to close your account (see section 10). This does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
6. Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the Service. They process data on our behalf, and only as needed to provide their service. Some of them may process data outside India.
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosting the website and servers. Sees IP addresses and request data, and supplies approximate location from your IP. |
| Neon | Database storing accounts, activity records and share-link records. |
| Amazon Web Services (S3) | Storage for files and shared scenes. |
| Email provider (Google Gmail) | Sending security alerts to our administrators. |
| Google Fonts | Delivering the typeface used in the studio. Your browser requests it directly from Google, which sees your IP address. |
| jsDelivr and iJewel3D CDNs | Delivering 3D software libraries to your browser. They see your IP address when your browser downloads them. |
8. How long we keep data
- Account information: for as long as your account exists.
- Activity and security records: for as long as needed for security, support and legal purposes. Records about a closed account may be kept where the law requires or allows.
- Stored files and shared scenes: until you ask us to delete them or your account is closed. A share link can be switched off on request.
- Files sent for processing: only as long as needed to produce your download.
We do not currently delete data automatically on a fixed schedule. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see section 10).
9. How we protect data
Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes. Sessions use signed tokens that can be revoked, and only one session per account is active at a time. Uploads and downloads use short-lived signed links. Share links use long random identifiers that cannot be guessed. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or updated;
- have your data erased, and your account closed, when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for;
- withdraw your consent;
- have a grievance about our handling of your data addressed;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
To use any of these rights, or to raise a grievance, contact us. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Cookies and browser storage
We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The Service uses your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in (your session token) and to remember your studio preferences, such as which panels are open and your saved camera views. This data stays in your browser. Signing out, or clearing your browser’s site data, removes it.
12. Children
The Service is intended for professional use and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know before they take effect.
14. Contact
For privacy questions, requests or grievances, contact TechCore.
